Annapolis Striders To Take To The Roads

10-Mile Run Scheduled For Sunday

The annual Annapolis Striders Ten Mile Run will be held on August 30, 2009 with approximately 4,700 runners participating. The race is scheduled to start at the United States Navy/Marine Corp Stadium in Annapolis at 7:45 a.m.

Per the Anne Arundel County Police, the event will affect traffic along the following routes: Taylor Avenue, Rowe Boulevard, Church Circle, Main Street, Rt. 450 (Naval Academy Bridge), Route 648, Ferry Farms Road and Route 450 northbound. Communities in the aforementioned areas should be aware of this event to ensure pedestrian safety. Several streets will be closed during the event. Motorists traveling this route should expect minor delays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
