Robbery Update. Police Need Help

Yesterday, we reported about a bank robbery on Arundel Mills Boulevard. Anne Arundel County Police have released the following statement and are seeking the help of the public with any information regarding the subject or the getaway vehicle.

On May 4, 2009, at approximately 9:13 a.m., officers from the Western District responded to the Bank of America located at 7045 Arundel Mills Boulevard in Hanover for an armed hold-up.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with employees of the bank, who stated that a male suspect entered the bank armed with a handgun and yelled for everyone to get on the floor. Next, the suspect vaulted the customer service counter and removed an undetermined amount of U.S. currency from the teller drawers. He then vaulted the counter again and exited the front door on foot in an unknown direction. Numerous officers canvassed the vicinity, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Suspect: Black male in his mid 20’s, approximately 5’7”-5’9” with a goatee. He was last seen wearing dark colored coat with lighter sleeves, dark pants, multi-colored hat, and dark colored sunglasses, armed with an unknown type handgun.
