I received my bill today and it was $375 about the same as last month. I live in a very, very small mobile home and have been cutting back alot. I can't afford these rates. I'll be calling Comcast tomorrow to get rid of my cable t.v. but will keep internet service. Food prices are also up so I'm cutting back on shopping. It's getting ridiculous and I can't see how anyone can blame the current economic situation on anyone else but the Bush Admin. and the Republican majority in Congress whose policies brought us down this road. Of course their corporate megaphone ie. FOX and talk radio works hard to get you to believe otherwise. Wake up people!

Jesse,

Sorry to hear that! I have a 2100 SQft, 39yr old home in SP and my bill hovers around $220-$320 even with the rate increase. Anyway, I see this helps those that have fallen behind, but provides no relief for those that bite the bullet and pay these obscene rates. Wait until Obama's 'cap and trade' energy proposal comes down the pike...you think you pay alot now...just wait.

Got my bill today and it was $595 and some change. For an 1800 SF, well insulated, almost brand new home. How does that compute?

Jesse Barron’s last blog post..No Resolution to BGE Shutoffs
