Edgewater Mama – thanks for your comments – I’ll be keeping a close eye on this, that’s for sure. I will read all documents very carefully and have a friend look at them, he is an attorney.

Why on God’s green earth would you get involved in a scheme to refinance your home with a guy you are in the process of kicking out? There have been many stories about people doing these “too good to be true” deals only to find that the fine print does not indicate a refinance but an actual sale. There was a woman in Arnold (I think) that thought she was re-financing with a company at a hardship loan, but once the papers were signed, it turns out that the “company” owned her house and now as the landlord wanted to evict her.
